When it rains….It Pours
For me, it isn’t so much when it rains it pours, it is more like when it rains, it pours, it floods, then it gets hit by a tsunami.
Work has been busy because my boss was out on vacation, I am having some “family” issues, which sucks when your family is a 4 hour plain ride a way, and I am in the midst of looking for a new car, AND THEN I break my sewing machine.
After sewing a really nifty pair of gauntlets with Lukas’s device on them, I start to clean my machine, and promptly break it. Now I would like to address the fact that I have a good machine, it is I who broke IT. I tried so very hard to fix it, but I couldn’t so it looks like I am going to have to pay the $70 to fix my mistake.
With just over 30 days till Lilies, here I am without a sewing machine, so I try to find the foot to my serger……Yeah no serger foot. It’s not like you can just go down to your sewing store and BUY a new powercord/foot control….NNNNOOOOO you have to ORDER one.
So here I am, out a total of $150 AND I loose a sewing week AND I am now stressed beyond compare. I sadly was on a sewing roll :-( . To add insult to injury, I now cannot go to my spa weekend, as I need to hold onto that money incase I need to fly out to visit my dad AND I also don’t get the new sunshade for lilies.
Today is a sad sewing day :-(
Trying to recoup some of the lost money, as of tomorrow, I will have PDF patterns for sale. I will start with the German Landsknecht Hemd, then maybe put up some for camp chair covers, keg coolers, fighting helm bags, ext. This is all stuff I can do without my sewing machine or serger. Once I get the serger foot in, I will also have pre-sewn smocking hemds blanks for sale in white or black linen.

If you're sewing gauntlets then there's your problem. :) Actually we had decided to rip off the nasty orange cuffs of a pair of MIG gloves, and replace them with a nice red suede. Maybe we can take a picture of the original culprit that helped to start this whole debacle.
Ouch, that sucks.
Good luck getting back up and running.
I'm not being particularly productive either, I can't seem to get any work done at home. I'm much more successful at Brighid's house.
