Seeking a Herlad or Retainer for MKAOD

A correction as there was a small misunderstanding due to a Kingdom language issue. We need not necessarily a herald, but a retainer.

"“You must have an attendant to bear your colors and device onto the field (the banner), to assist you with armouring up and down and to announce you on the field as needed.” "

I can guarantee that both Lukas and myself are fairly fun individuals and can guarantee you will have a good time J In addition, as Keile indicated I have 2, not-so-small offerings as a form of compensation for the individual who would be assisting us this day. More details to follow to the individual(s), however I can say that 1 of the items is a period German pleated shirt with trim in the person’s heraldic colors.- I normally sell these shirts through Neverland Garb for between $75-$100.

In addition, as we would need help between roughly 11 am till the end of the tournament (3-4?) I will have drinks (Gatorade & Water) and snacks (oranges, pickles, jerky, fresh made gummy bears) available, so that you will not go hungry nor thirsty while helping us out.

This would be a great opportunity for anyone who would have interest in learning about heavy armor or heavy fighting, a newbie, someone who needs garb, someone who would like to learn about German personas or heraldry, or anyone who just wants to have some fun.

A new herladic Silk Banner

Lukas ( Blair) will be competing in a Pas this weekend. It will be his first time fighting in the midrealm. I thought he deserved a new banner.

Here it is all outlined. Tomorrow I will go back with the resist and touch it up- add his "motto" and his device, and I will paint in on Friday night.

The pants that don't photo well

I have 1 leg done to go with the cool codpiece. However my sewing room is dark, the fabric colors are close in hue and they are made of wool. Wool does not photograph well- it absorbs light...this is a fact.

Another fact is that these pants are COOL! I did quite a bit of intarsia, (german reverse applique) on the codpiece and one pant leg. On the bottom part of the leg I did 3 inch weaving. These will tuck into boots.

These pictures don't do this one pant leg justice.

Is that a Falcon in your codpiece or are you happy to see me

What do you get when you cross a Fleur-de-lis, aFalcon, and a Codpiece ?

Well I guess it would look something like this....
Now the pictures are not that good, cause it is very hard to take pictures of a curvicature with a digital camera.

Here is the design I created:

Here are a few additional pictures:

I'm Back!

Sorry about the long delay in posts.

For those of you who don't know- I had a REALLY BAD Lilies. So bad that I ended up in the hospital. (I like Liberty Hospital in Libertyville). Since then I have had over half a dozen trips to the hospital, 1 surgery, & 1 complication to the surgery.

I have just started sewing this past weekend.

I am sorry for the long delay, but please feel free to start checking back on a regular basis.

I have also started to finish stuff that should have been finished ages ago!- so things should start getting rolling quickly!
