You basically sew your normal seam- then take the edges of those seams and roll them under themselves. When you flat fell a seam, it protects the edges, keeps the edges from fraying, and creates a stronger seam.

I have 1 leg done to go with the cool codpiece. However my sewing room is dark, the fabric colors are close in hue and they are made of wool. Wool does not photograph well- it absorbs light...this is a fact.


Another fact is that these pants are COOL! I did quite a bit of intarsia, (german reverse applique) on the codpiece and one pant leg. For those of you who don't know- I had a REALLY BAD Lilies. So bad that I ended up in the hospital. (I like Liberty Hospital in Libertyville).  Since then I have had over half a dozen trips to the hospital, 1 surgery, &amp; 1 complication to the surgery.

In between looking for a new war vehicle, Lukas was willing to try on &amp; fit his new Gold wool Bumble Bee outfit.

These first few pictures show the hosen, or outer hosen as I like to call them.

The closest thing I think we are going to get to the Killer German B.B is this gold &amp; black wool outfit I made for Lukas.

I started by sewing 3" strips of wool material together.

Work has been busy because my boss was out on vacation, I am having some “family” issues, which sucks when your family is a 4 hour plain ride a way, and I am in the midst of looking for a new car, AND THEN I break my sewing machine.
